Huntsville Metro · Neighborhood Guide
Madison
Top-rated Madison City Schools, newer homes, easy Research Park commute.

Why Madison is the metro's family magnet
Madison is the suburb everyone with school-age kids ends up considering. Madison City Schools — independent from Huntsville City — consistently rank in the top tier statewide, and that single fact drives most of the demand.
Add to it: newer housing stock, a clean and well-planned street grid, Town Madison's restaurants and Trash Pandas baseball, and a straight shot to Cummings Research Park and Redstone via I-565 or Madison Boulevard.
Pockets within Madison
The Clift's Cove and Heritage Plantation areas trade higher for established neighborhoods near top elementaries. West Madison (Triana Boulevard corridor) is the new-construction frontier — newer subdivisions like The Reserve at Stone Creek and Edgewater offer the most house per dollar.
North Madison toward Capshaw and Mill Road brings larger lots and slightly older inventory. The Hughes Road corridor is in the middle — close-in, walkable to the library and parks, mature trees.
Price ranges
Starter and townhome inventory in Madison generally runs $275K–$375K. Most family homes in the popular school zones trade $400K–$550K. Custom and larger homes in Clift's Cove or the newer estate sections reach $700K–$1M+.
