Jones Valley
Established southeast Huntsville. Strong schools, mature trees, short commute.

The southeast Huntsville sweet spot
Jones Valley is the wide, flat valley running from Carl T. Jones Drive south to Weatherly Road. It's been one of the most desirable parts of Huntsville for decades — flat lots, mature hardwoods, established neighborhoods with sidewalks, and direct access to the Arsenal via Bailey Cove or Memorial Parkway.
Grissom High School and the strong elementary zones (Mountain Gap, Challenger, Weatherly) anchor most of the family demand. The Jones Valley shopping center and Publix at Mountain Gap put daily errands within five minutes for most of the area.
What buyers pay for here
Inventory ranges from 1970s ranches in the $300s to renovated and newer custom homes in the $700s–$1M+. The premium is for location: most of Jones Valley puts you 12 minutes from the Arsenal gates and 15 minutes from downtown.
